1. Acceptance
By accessing or using the Learning Labs, you agree to these Terms. If you use a Lab for a school or organization, you are responsible for following that organization’s approval, privacy, accessibility, record-handling, and acceptable-use requirements.
2. Permitted educational use
You may use the public activities and printable materials for personal learning, classroom instruction, intervention, tutoring, family practice, and internal educator planning. You may link to the sites and make reasonable classroom copies of materials clearly offered for printing.
3. Uses that are not permitted
- Do not sell, sublicense, republish, scrape in bulk, or present the sites or substantial copies as your own product.
- Do not interfere with site operation, attempt unauthorized access, bypass access controls, probe for vulnerabilities, or use automated traffic that burdens the service.
- Do not use the sites to harass, discriminate, expose another person’s information, or create deceptive or unsafe content.
- Do not place confidential student records or sensitive personal information into public or unapproved fields.
4. Educator and district responsibilities
Educators and schools choose the instructional purpose, supervise student use, determine what information may be entered, protect links/codes/exports, obtain any required approvals or consent, and decide whether optional server-stored tools fit local policy. Results require professional interpretation and should be considered alongside other evidence.
5. Student safety and appropriate use
The Labs are educational supports, not emergency, medical, mental-health, legal, financial, or crisis services. Life Lab scenarios teach general skills but cannot replace individualized professional support, safety planning, or mandated school procedures. If an activity raises an immediate safety concern, stop and follow the school’s established response process.
6. Privacy and data
Use is also governed by the privacy notice, privacy FAQ, and each Lab’s specific notice. Anonymous use is available for many activities. Optional Word Lab teacher features can store educator-entered records. Schools should approve those features before storing student information.
7. Accounts, codes, and shared links
Users are responsible for safeguarding account access, student codes, and assignment links. Do not share access beyond the intended audience. Notify the site owner through the feedback page if you believe access has been misused; do not include student records in the message.
8. Availability and changes
The sites may change, be unavailable, contain errors, or discontinue a feature. Do not rely on them as the only copy of required instructional or attendance records. Test critical activities before a lesson and keep an alternate plan.
9. Intellectual property
Unless otherwise stated, site design, text, activities, graphics, code, and branding are owned by or licensed to Mr. B’s Learning Labs and protected by applicable law. Classroom-use permission does not transfer ownership or authorize public redistribution of the full product.
10. Third-party services and links
The sites may link to external resources or rely on hosting, authentication, or network providers. External services have their own terms and privacy practices. A link does not guarantee continued availability or endorse every statement on the external site.
11. Educational disclaimer
The Labs are provided for general educational use and are not guaranteed to meet every learner’s needs or every jurisdiction’s requirements. They do not provide standardized scores, eligibility decisions, diagnoses, legal conclusions, or guaranteed learning outcomes.
12. Limitation and local requirements
To the extent allowed by applicable law, use is at your own discretion and responsibility. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain disclaimers or limitations; those local rules may apply. Districts needing negotiated warranties, security terms, retention commitments, insurance, indemnity, or governing-law provisions should complete a formal vendor review before adoption.
13. Changes to these Terms
These Terms may be updated as features or practices change. The effective date will be revised for material changes. Continued use after an update means the revised Terms apply to later use.
14. Questions
Use the feedback page for questions or concerns. Do not include student names, records, credentials, access codes, disability information, or other confidential details.
This page is not legal advice. A school or district should have its authorized reviewer evaluate these Terms and request any additional agreement required by law or policy.
